Donna Peddy is recognized as Solution-focused therapist.  Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Donna currently has a highly respected private practice in Dallas, Tx.  Her experience in the mental health field includes working with a broad spectrum of clients.  With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

After receiving a M.Ed in Counseling/Psychology from the University of North Texas,  Donna started her mental health career as a Counselor at Colorado Mountain College in Vail, Colorado.  For two years, she provided Outreach counseling services for Adults, Children and Adolescents.  She developed programs and facilitated groups in Assertive Communication, Parenting, Stress management, Anger management, Self-esteem and Life/career transitions.

Donna moved back to Dallas and served as a Counselor and Instructor at Richland College through the HRDC and Everywomen’s Center.  She provided counseling for women experiencing career & life transitions, divorce, stress and self-esteem issues.  She instructed mental health courses in Assertiveness Training, Stress Management, Anger Management, Self-Esteem and Career-decision Making.

In 1984, Donna joined a private practice serving as the Clinical Director of the Dr. Lynn Weiss Counseling Center.  She gained significant expertise in counseling Children, Teens and Adults diagnosed with ADHD, Self-Esteem issues, Anxiety and Depression.   Donna facilitated "G.A.B. about Divorce" groups for children and adolescents.

During this time, Donna introduced Social Skills Training Groups to the Dallas - Forth Worth metroplex.  In addition, she served as a local media guest expert on topics involving: relationship issues, child emotional & social development, family and parenting issues, helping children cope with divorce, and children/teens diagnosed ADHD.
